Blurred Focus

I'm sorry y'all, I've been babbling on these blogs about irrelevant stuff. Hence the lack of comments, I get it lol. Ima try to speak on more important issues that speak to us all, here we go...

Just sitting here listening to Kirk's latest album (mainly Chains & It Would Take All Day) and its got me thinking...we put such a light on our chains, demons, and strongholds. Now, that's a good thing, BUT...sometimes it gets to the point where it consumes our walk. We end up being bummed out and bogged down over issues that we have no control of.

Anxiety, fear, and several other emotions that are NOT intended by God to be felt by His people are taking over. Energy we could be spending praising, witnessing, and serving are spent in worry and doubt. Why is that? I agree that the church should focus on these things and how to deal with/allow God to rid us of them. BUT, sometimes it gets to the point where you spend every waking moment on egg shells. "Am I doing OK?" "Is this wrong?" "Should I do this?"

Its definitely NOT how God wants us to live. But this crazy, fallen world can make its presence felt. The doubt the world places on Christianity as a whole causes us to debate about biblical issues instead of truly spreading the word of God. Its SCARY how bad we are persecuted, and its only getting worse.

Believers are simply dusted off as "right-wing", forcing a lot of us to become tolerant to issues that upset God in order to not be thrown into that pit. Preachers that teach prosperity are seen as money hungry, preachers that preach against tolerance are made to be "hate mongers" (my sister's pastor, Rod Parsley, said that Allah is a spiritual demon, as are the teachings of Islam, MSNBC tried to spit fire @ him). Preachers that actually have a sense of reality are seen as crazy, or end up being judged by other churches (christians) because their style is too unorthodox (I.e- Obama's pastor that says "God damn America" cuz of all the crap we've done...which I agree with, yet he supports homosexuality, I don't agree with the lifestyle, but they're God's children too...difficult issue to deal with)

Right now, in my mind I am truly asking God "where are You", I wish the world would see more of You (in a positive light), help me to understand Your plan....

lol...I read it, and I feel you. (:

I'll be in prayer with you, because I think this--that is, a preoccupation with figuring out how to look as Christian as possible--is a lot more common than we'd care to admit. (Guilty as charged.)

Stay up, and keep speaking...

"Count your Blessings, not Your problems..."

Thats a concept that has recently been thrown at me and Im embracing it...

It kinda changes the way one thinks of the darkness when you see how much light we have been BLESSED with.

My God is a "WayMaker..."

Thus, even through the road that seems to have no end I know that Faith with bring Me Through...
